  1. IMPORTANT: Please lightly water your borders at least 6 hrs. after installation to help prevent cracking. Water should be applied lightly on the ground around the curbs, BUT NOT DIRECTLY ON THE CURBS for several days. Overly dry ground will absorb moisture from the curb and may cause small cracking. B & B Curbing is not responsible for cracking due to dry ground.

  2. Concrete takes 28 days to fully cure. Please try to keep lawnmowers/trimmers, pets, and children off the curbs for as long as possible.

  3. NEVER allow tractors or vehicles to run over curbs.

  4. Ensure your sprinkler system does not come on for at least 24 hrs after installation.

  5. Although highly unlikely, efflorescence (a white powdery substance) may appear on your curb.

We take every precaution to prevent this from occurring by using “Efflorguard” in every mix of

concrete. Should this occur a 50-50 mix of vinegar and water should remove it.

  6. The color of the concrete will lighten as it cures.

  7. Concrete can and will crack. During application we place control joints every 3 ft in order to

control cracking. Typically you may get one or two hairline fractures in a long stretch of curbing, but usually it is not very noticeable. If cracking occurs during the warranty period outside of the control joints, we can saw cut it to look like a control joint. Although usually a hairline crack will be much less noticeable.

  8. Your new decorative curbing has a 30-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Our warranty does not cover damage as a result of tree roots, ground movement or soil settlement. If curbs are attached to existing concrete, there is no warranty due to inherent movement of such driveways and walkways.

  9. Although a sealer is applied to your curb upon completion, B & B Curbing recommends you reapply a sealer yearly. This will help maintain the glossy appearance and acts as a protectant for your curb. An appointment for this affordable service can be made at anytime with us. Please read the information provided about sealing your curb.
